Liefde vir “Lavender”

As daar nou een reuk is wat my sommer laat swymel is dit die reuk van Lavender, of die afrikaanse woord Laventel. Vir my is dit ‘n “mood-enhancer” soos min.

Comments on Lavender: Lavendula Augustafolia is the most delicately scented Lavender and the most important medicinally.~Probably the most versatile oil, Lavender is an excellent oil for burns, muscular problems, anxiety and sleep disorders.~Used with other oils, Lavender has a balancing effect on the entire blend.~During labour Lavender will reduce pain and strengthen contractions when massaged on the lower back.~This oil is also excellent for use on insect bites or other skin irritations and is one of the few that is safe to use undiluted on the skin (except on infants and young children).~It is important to remember that overuse may cause sensitization and that no more than 12 drops per day should be used on a healthy adult – less for children or elderly.
